Tennessee Volunteers Basketball Poster
The Tennessee Volunteers are better known for their football team than their basketball team, thanks to Peyton Manning, but this is March Madness time and the basketball Vols are attempting to make a run towards the National Championship Game. The Vols basketball team has never made it past the Sweet 16, but this weekend we will find out if they get over that hurdle and finally get to the Final Four. Good luck Vols.
The team has been at the height of their success since hiring coach Bruce Pearl from Univ. of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2005. Pearl’s assistants Tony Jones, Steve Forbes, Jason Shay, and Ken Johnson round out the winning staff that has helped bring the vols to the NCAA tournament three years in a row. Historically Volunteer basketball has produced several successful National Basketball Association players including Allen Houston, Bernard King, Ernie Grunfeld and Dale Ellis.
Tennessee (28-3 overall, 14-2 in SEC) compiled an overall resume that anybody in the country would have taken. This year’s team has had a lot of success including a #2 seed in the 2008 NCAA tournament. The Vols were the #1 team in the country after they defeated the Memphis Tigers on February 23rd. The Sports Poster Warehouse exclusive Tennessee on Top,
captures the Vols 30th straight home victory, a win over Auburn, right before they headed off to Memphis.
This is a must have poster for any Tennessee basketball fan, and it is not available anywhere else.
