As all of the hockey lovers out there know, tomorrow is trade deadline day for the National Hockey League. Teams who are either making a final push to secure the last playoff spots, or hoping to go deep into the playoffs, will trade to acquire a key veteran or a proven scorer in order to solidify their rosters. Conversely, teams who are re-building with younger players will want to trade away their more expensive players in order to dump salary and get draft picks in return. There is usually a flurry of activity leading up the deadline day. However, this year it has been relatively quiet, thus we all expect a blizzard of action on the actual D-Day. Without further delay, we here at Sports Poster Warehouse present out list of players “Most Likely To Be Moved”…

We here at Sports Poster Warehouse have a special poster for all the fans of Pittsburgh teams; a crossover classic!
This spectacular print celebrates one of the most memorable moments of the Penguins’ 2008-09 season. Clearly on a high after a Sunday afternoon shutout on home ice at The Igloo, Marc-Andre Fleury got himself into the civic spirit just minutes before kickoff of the AFC Championship Game. As the Steelers were about to take the field against the Baltimore Ravens in the final step to Super Bowl XLIII and ultimate glory, Fleury stepped onto the ice for his first star with a Steelers football helmet replacing his goaltender’s mask, and a “Terrible Towel” waving in the air to whip the crowd into a Championship frenzy.

With a huge smile on his face in front of an adoring, enthusiastic crowd, this was pure sporting magic! Topped off by the attractive powder-blue old-school third jersey worn by the Penguins that day, and this is pure photographic and historic perfection. A SportsPosterWarehouse.com exclusive 16″x20″ print, complete with NHL and NHLPA official logos and a serialized NHL Products hologram for licensing authenticity, this is also a valuable collector’s item for years to come!

Commemorating one of the most remarkable days in the life of Wrigley Field, and one of the most amazing events in Chicago Blackhawks history! Now a New Year’s Day tradition, the NHL scheduled its 2009 Winter Classic in a stadium known for nearly a century of joyous days under the hot afternoon sun, but never for winter sports. Few could envision how the grand old park would look decked out for hockey on a winter’s afternoon. However, when it was all said and done (despite the game’s result, a loss to the hated Detroit Red Wings), all who saw it could certainly say: this was AMAZING!

From photographer Rob Arra’s legendary Everlasting Images collection, this spectacular print takes you back to that unique afternoon in Wrigleyville, giving you a breathtaking inside view of the scene during the pre-game festivities, with the players lined up at their respective blue lines for the singing of the National Anthem. From the normally lush green playing field now turned snow-white, to the fans packed with parka-wearing fanatics, to the familiar Wrigley Field features, to the rooftop parties across the street, to the Chicago skyline in the distance, it’s all here! Whether you were there in person on that wonderful winter day, are a serious Blackhawks or Red Wings fan, or are a lover of that legendary hockey arena called Wrigley Field, this is for you. Complete with sharp white border, commemorative title, and official NHL and Winter Classic logos, this is both a beautiful work of photographic sports art for your wall, and a valuable collector’s item for years to come.

When the National Hockey League first began playing All Star games in the 1947-1948 season, league executives had no idea that it would turn into the festival that it is today. When All Star weekend begins in Montreal on January 24, the spotlight will be on the players, the league and the city. It’s a big business now; sponsors, fans, celebrations. A big part of the NHL All Star weekend is the skills competition, held the day before the actual game. With the anticipation growing as the event draws near, Sports Poster Warehouse wants to make our predictions for All Star weekend in Montreal.

This year’s NHL All Star Weekend in Montreal taking place this weekend is sure to be the toast of both the town and the league. There is already a huge buzz in Montreal, as it is the Canadien’s 100th year anniversary. Furthermore, Montreal is well represented at this year’s event, with Alex Kovalev, Mike Komisarek, Andrei Markov and Carey Price all representing the storied Montreal franchise. Even greater cause for excitement at this year’s All Star weekend is the appearance and emergence of several young stars making their All Star game debuts. So, in no particular order, Sports Poster Warehouse gives props to this new breed of NHL All Stars.
