Miami Heat land the Big 3; More Championship Posters to come?

July 12, 2010

“Miami Thrice”, “The Big 3″, “West Palm Trio”, whatever you call them, the best combination of three players the NBA has ever seen are now in the starting line up for the Miami Heat. Chris Bosh, Dwayne Wade and the King himself, LeBron James have their eyes firmly places on an NBA Championship in 2011.

Dwayne Wade reverse layup - 2006

These three bring some of the most impressive stats to ever be complied on one team. Chris Bosh, the all time leading scorer for the Toronto Raptors, well as holding the title for 14 other achievements in Toronto. Dwayne Wade, the 6 time All-Star who is also the Miami heats all time leading scorer brings the one and only championship of the 3. Then there is the man himself, King James. One of the most prolific players in the game today, he is a 6 time All-Star, 2 time MVP, Rookie of the year, NBA scoring champion, and like the other two, a 2008 Olympic gold medallist. The one thing that has eluded both LeBron and Bosh is an NBA championship, which is has now brought them all together.

Miami Heat - 2006 NBA Champions

In their 22 year history the Heat have only won one championship, in 2006, with Wade and Shaq leading the way. They were the best team in the NBA, and hava the rings to prove it. After the championship the team started to slide. Shaq was traded to the Phoenix Suns, and the Heat went from 1st in their conference to 5th, things were bad. After a couple years of being a mediocrity, the Heat are back. They have the best line up in all of pro sports and everyone knows it. Other teams will now scramble to do what they can, but no one will be able to handle the unstoppable force of the Heat this coming year.  You can’t hand the championship to them yet, but honestly, it can’t be that far away.

Chauncey Billups Poster-Denver Nuggets

March 11, 2009

Chauncey Billups, born in Denver, was an immediate on-court success. Having dominated at the highschool level, he was named to the All-McDonalds Team. Billups was then offered a full scholarship at the University of Colorado, where he continued to blossom for two years. In Chauncey‘s first few years in the NBA, he struggled to find his consistency, having moved around from Boston, to Toronto, to Denver and then onto Minnesota where he finally found his game.

In the summer of 2002, Billups signed on as a free agent with the Detroit Pistons, who were being re-constructed by Joe Dumars. Having also acquired Tayshaun Prince, Ben Wallace, Richard Hamilton and Rasheed Wallace, the Pistons primed themselves for several years of stardom. Billups lead this star-studded team past the LA Lakers in the 2004 NBA Championship, winning the series MVP award along the way.

In November of 2008, Billups was traded back to his hometown Denver Nuggets along with Antonio McDyess in exchange for Allen Iverson. Chauncey has since excelled with the Nuggets, having made the All Star game and he is leading the team to a stellar record along with Carmello Anthony.

This spectacular poster features the man whose long journey to NBA champion and MVP candidate took him through Denver in the late 1990s, and saw him return to the Nuggets as a savior nearly a decade later.
