Thankfully, AT&T limited its advertising content to just a small logo at bottom-left, leaving you with a brilliant poster design that features 16 of the best NCAA Lacrosse celebration shots they could find (including the Virginia Cavaliers’ 2007 victory pile-up), all superimposed over the packed championship game stadium stands. Don’t miss out on this one – we were lucky enough to obtain a small quantity from a Boston-area collectibles dealer, and will certainly never see these again once they’ve sold out.
Finally, check out this poster trio, from the fine equipment makers at Reebok:
These posters – two of which feature NLL star Brodie Merrill of the Portland LumberJax – celebrate the sport with three very different images. Never available to the general public (these were sent to retailers to decorate their stores), we’ve obtained a small quantity of these through a third-party, and are making them available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Has there ever been a bigger upset in the history of NCAA athletics? Who ever even HEARD of Fresno State before June?
Hockeytown fanatics, your posters have finally arrived! It’s taken a while, but the new 2008 Stanley Cup commemorative posters will finally be in stock on July 3, ready to ship quickly to your door.
We actually got a small initial shipment of the first poster – “Stanley Cup Champions 2008” – a couple of weeks ago, but we sold out of those quickly. We’ll have more again on July 3. This is a very nice design, featuring seven key ingredients to the dominating squad, including the Conn Smythe winner (Henrik Zetterberg), the clutch-scoring wizard (Johan Franzen), the Norris Trophy winner (Nicklas Lidstrom), and, despite not playing in the Finals at all, a special appearance from the ageless wonder, Chris Chelios. Here it is:
Next up, it’s a return of an old annual classic. From 1993 to 2002, the old, but now defunct, licensed sports poster publsher Starline Inc. published a “Celebration” poster, featuring nothing but the on-ice post-victory team portrait printed HUGE on a horizontal poster. Good news – IT’S BACK! – Detroit Red Wings “Celebration 2008”. This has been the best-seller in pre-orders so far:
And finally, here’s the premium commemorative, published by the fine folks at photographer Rob Arra’s Everlasting Images company. This is a spectacular panoramic print inside Joe Louis Arena during Game 1 of the finals, with celebratory images inset, and the final scores of each game at bottom-right. Printed on high-quality photographic stock, this is worthy of a nice oak frame and a prominent place on your home or office wall:
This appears to be it for 2008 Red Wings Championship posters, as we’ve heard nothing else from other publishers. So snap these up while you still can! And check out posters still in stock from 1997, 1998, and 2002 in our Detroit Red Wings Stanley Cup collection.
We’re stepping out a bit with this one, and jumping on the Obama-mania bandwagon. If you’re for Barack Obama, you’ll just have to add this to your wall – and we’ve now got it in stock. If you’re not with the liberal Presidential candidate – well, at least you have to admit, it was a nice cover, and a nice poster! From Funky Images’ Rolling Stone Authentic collection, featuring a huge reproduction of the March 2008 magazine cover, this is sure to be a valuable collector’s item for years to come, whether Obama wins or loses.
Now this is the Olympic spirit at its best! Competing this summer in Beijing in one of the newest Summer Olympic sports, Women’s Wrestling (introduced in Athens in 2004), Canada’s Ohenewa Akuffo isn’t sitting around waiting for the next government funding check to arrive to fund her training. The 29-year-old daughter of Ghanian immigrants, Akuffo has chosen to keep her Gold Medal dream alive by working with Home Depot’s Olympic Associates program; by freelancing as a motivational speaker and athletic model; and by producing her own swag! Included in her product line is this spectacular poster, published with great style and quality by Ohenewa herself! Significant for its status as our first-ever women’s wrestling poster, and the first-ever poster published and delivered to our headquarters by an individual athlete, this is one of our favorite posters of the year.
With all the (mostly-deserved) bad press surrounding the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics, let’s not forget that this is what the movement is all about: individual amateur athletes with a dream, who scratch and save with determination and creativity to reach the top. Order her poster, and you’ll be supporting Ohenewa’s dream – and, as a top-ranked medal favorite, she may well be an international celebrity come September! Only $12.95 + S&H – order now!
